I’m a Blogger and I’m a Mormon
I’d just like to start out by saying that I am very respectful of other people’s religious beliefs… I’ve lived in many different places all over the country. I’ve felt acceptance and respect for my religious beliefs and have given the same in return to all the wonderful people I’ve had contact with over the years.

I’ve been a Mormon all of my life and having gone through some pretty tough experiences- some of which I’ve shared with all of you… being a member of the Mormon faith has been the rock that I needed to stand on. It is a big part of my life today- how I live my life, how we raise our kids, and how we live as a family.
It means a lot to me and so, I thought that just for this post I would offer a way for you to learn a little more- if you’ve ever wondered what being a Mormon is all about? I probably won’t talk on this subject much but I wanted to share The Mormon Blogger Project that I’m a part of with all of you…
My religious faith has been in the news a lot lately… maybe because there’s a Mormon running for President or something like that?? There’s been a lot of talk about Mormons or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with this upcoming election, both good and bad. Mariel of Or so she says gathered a group of Mormon women bloggers together who wanted to shed a positive light on our church and share why we are Mormon.
AND Mostly to let you know that we are just like you.. we are not perfect, we have hard stuff in our lives that we try to over come, we try to be good people, and raise great kids in happy families!

32 women came together to form a packet of our personal experiences- to each tell why we are Mormon along with our 3 favorite scriptures.
Melanie ~ Sugardoodle
Kierste ~ Brown Paper Packages
Shelley ~ How Does She?
Brooke ~ The Crafting Chicks
Mariel ~ Or so she says
In the packet you’ll receive a copy of each blogger’s feelings/experiences and a Book of Mormon too. Between both of those we hope you will gain a better understanding of where we are coming from and why we are Mormon’s. We won’t give your information to anyone else or send our missionaries to come knocking at your door. We just want to share, with anyone that’s interested, this important part of our lives with all of you…
To receive a free packet please email Mariel at: ladies@oneshetwoshe.com to request a packet. She will need your mailing address and then she’ll get the packets mailed out the last week of each month.
In the meantime, if you’d like to learn more feel free to visit these sites that do a great job of explaining Mormon beliefs and offering insights to our lives: Mormon.org (I especially love the ‘I’m a Mormon’ videos that follow the lives of different Mormons… they’re short and these people have the neatest stories!) and Mormon Briefing.
Have a wonderful day!
Love,
Ruthie

I love the pictures of you and your family. You’re beautiful. It’s so wonderful to know that we can all go through such different things in life, but be brought together by the Gospel, huh?
Thanks Becky
